If you love Dutch apple pie, you'll love these delicious apple crumble tarts, made with fresh apples, and homemade vegan pie crust.
We used veggie spread in the crust and topping instead of butter - tastier and healthier, in our humble opinion.
The advantages of apple tarts over apple pie: Smaller: if you can stop at one, you're better off. Tidier: you can pick up and eat them with your fingers. More elegant: strictly a subjective judgement on our part.
Apple tarts are heavenly solo, but try them with Whipped Cashew Cream, or Coconut Whipped Cream for an over-the-top dessert experience.
