Sweet and Healthy Treats From Savvy Vegetarian

Savvy Veg (Finally!) Has Printable Recipes: Tell your computer to print the file, and you'll get nothing but the recipe. And please, tell us about any glitches!

When we were growing up, dessert was the reward at the end of the meal - that was only if you ate the meal.

Since we went vegetarian, and (almost) completely vegan, the meal is the reward.

Desserts are few and far between for us, especially since we've (mostly) gone off sugar. But sometimes, only a sugar and fat laden treat will do!

In our opinion, a piece of sweet fruit is a healthy vegetarian dessert. Everything else is an oxymoron. If you're going to eat dessert, drop all pretense and go for the sugar, fat, and chocolate!

On the sane side, most dessert recipes are vastly improved by cutting the sugar and fat in half, and using 1/3 to 1/2 whole grain flour.

If you have questions about any of our vegetarian dessert recipes, contact us, and we'll respond asap.
