Going Vegetarian or Vegan Is a Major Lifestyle Change

It takes time and energy to absorb new information, develop new skills, and re-arrange your life - especially your kitchen, and your social life!

I ate lots of cheese, bread, brown rice, beans, a little bit of broccoli and carrots, the occasional apple - a very heavy, brown diet. I suffered for it.

I spent the next couple of decades learning what to eat and how to cook vegetarian, while I was a stay-at-home mom. I felt hard pressed at the time, but now I'm glad I was able to do that.

But I'm also glad that things are so much easier now! Vegetarian and vegan diets are becoming main-stream. It's cool to go veg, and there's far more information and support out there ... for instance, on Savvy Vegetarian!
