Easy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Basic vegan frosting, adaptable, good with almost any cake recipe

Chocolate Cupcakes

For a children's party, we like to frost chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting, and cover them with sprinkles.

Recipe Variations: Substitute different flavors for the vanilla, add lemon or orange zest, substitute citrus juice for 2 Tblsp of almond milk.

Change the color with food coloring, substitute vegan cream cheese for the vegan spread and leave out the almond milk.

Total Prep Time: 15 minutes

Yield: Approximately 2 cups frosting

  1. 1 cup soft vegan margarine
  2. 1 lb powdered sugar
  3. 2 tsp vanilla
  4. 3 Tblsp of almond milk

Cupcake Directions:

  1. Cream all ingredients together until creamy and smooth.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
